Small RNA libraries were prepared using the NEXTflex Small RNA-Seq Kit v3 according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Small RNAs were ligated to adapters, reverse transcribed into cDNA, and amplified by PCR to generate sequencing-ready libraries. The libraries were sequenced on an Illumina sequencing platform following standard Illumina protocols.
