The aim of this project is to develop new treatment methods by analyzing the genetic mutations and methylation information of colorectal cancer patients. Methylation is the process in which a methyl group is attached to a DNA molecule, which can suppress gene expression. Changes in methylation are associated with various diseases, especially cancer. Therefore, by analyzing the methylation information of colorectal cancer patients, this project seeks to identify the genes involved in the development and pathogenesis of colorectal cancer and develop new diagnostic and treatment methods based on this information. Through this project, it is expected to overcome the existing limitations of colorectal cancer treatment and improve the treatment outcomes for patients.
